A lot of these existential risks that we face, they almost fall into two categories. You've got the classic ones that you see the movies about: an asteroid coming at Earth or Super Volcano. And then we've got the hard X risks, which are where it's actually coming from our own technology and internal competitive dynamics. The goal all the time is to reduce the pace at which offensive technologies are developed in order to let defensive technologies catch up.
