Is It a Bad Idea to Defond the Police?

I think it's such bad branding. When some one says, defond the police, what they mean is that all the money is being put towardpunitive, violent policing. So how oi a good chunk of this money away and instead we put it into social services? If someone has mental health issues on the street, that a cap witha gun, isn't o who shows up. Instead, someone who shows up with proper training, who can deal with this compassionately. The enlt itis ssi shift away is hadinpunitive rather than punishing peep. Its is its shifting the mind set away from punishment, andand in cocreating a more humane system.
