Italy's Legal Penalties for Mispronouncing Italian Words
Right wing politicians in Italy are trying to enact legal punishments for mispronouncing Italian words or using non-Italian languages in official documents. CNN has reported that pronouncing, for example, Brisketa as Brisketa will get you in trouble to the tune of probably about 100,000 euros. This is new legislation introduced by Prime Minister Georgia Maloney's Brothers of Italy party. And if a broadcaster says it wrong, what that? That's so stupid.
