The Reasons Why Parents Delay Their Daughter's Marriage
Women's employment rates in India amongst the lowest. Women are, despite all the apparent new areas of employment,. In fact, women's employment rates have gone down. So women are not possible earning members. But there are two factors which would lead them to delay it. One is that they do want a high status marriage for their daughters because that gives them also status. When you marry up the upness of the people you daughter marries into reflects on you. And generally boys with good professional job, good education will themselves say they want a wife who is also being able and can be an earner.
