The Order of the Twelve Tribes in the Old Testament

Doctor heyser mentioned that the order in which the tribes are listed is unique, but he did not elaborate. Is there significance to the order? The ancient christian commentary on scripture quotes two sources that are ascribed certificates to the order. Mike from santa california has a question about revelations seven four through eight. Do these commentaries have a point, or are they reading too much into it? i personally don't think there's any meaning to be discerned from the order because the order is never the same anywhere else.
