The Clock of the Spirit, by Lady Wilde

The Celts would gather around the fire and tell scary stories about these fairies. Lady wilde put together some excellent collections of celtic folk tales, and i relied a lot on those. She set out to capture rich stories of ireland's ast in a book called ancient legends, mystic charms and superstitions of ireland. And the cry of the spirit is mournful beyond all other sounds on earth, and betokens certain death to some member of the family whenever it is heard in the silence of the night.
