International Relations and the Concept of Conflict of Regimes

Judge Nussberg criticized elements of the jurisprudence of that court for creating a lick specialis interpretation for human rights treaties. She said it was contrary to the approach in general international law. Well beyond the argument the systemic integration subverts the obligations of states under a particular treaty, principle is faced with wider range of scholarly objections. International regimes are defined as principles norms rules and decision making procedures from which actor expectations converge in a given issue area.
