The Effect of the Whoop on Gravitational Waves

The largest gravitational waves are created by the mergers of supermassive black holes that are a billion times the mass of the sun. That kind of black hole is what I'm really curious about investigating. LIGO can detect these signals 25 million years before they merge. But with these very low frequency gravitational waves sources, we detect them with a different experiment called pulsar timing arrays.
