The Importance of Metaphors

Eating and consumption metaphors are very common and they pop up in surprising ways. Another really common one is that emotion is a fluid in a container. Most commonly in english we hear about emotions that overflow now what i was also thinking if you saw say like an emotion drains someone of their strength because the strength is almost not necessarily an emotion but um right but vitality as you know vitality is a fluid.
