How Do You Dress Like a Professional Comic?

How you dress really, really impacts the effect of your jokes and also just the confidence of your performance. If for me as an audience member, if I smell that a comedian's trying to show us that he's funny, I'm immediately turned off. Everything within that first 30 seconds is a microcosm of what the rest of your set is going to be. An audience gives you way more than the performer gives before the performer utters a word. You like you owe them to try to entertain them.
