There were some modest benefits in terms of fat loss, but that's ultimately just not the research question that we're talking about. One point six to two point two grams per kilogram is probably pretty sufficient. But there are some situations where higher amounts might be warranted or at least worth considering. It's literally only the people that are preping for physique competitions and pushing to get extra shredded who will benefit from this kind of training.
