The answer is it depends because copyright, patent, trademark, privacy law, database rights. So there's a whole other field of law. One serious analogy that you could make here is that once it's in a model, there's no human involved. That said like anything you output is definitely copyright or startup. You don't own anything in it. If you had a monkey in the same situation, you would not have to have a contract.
