What Is Open Source?
Open source has come a long way, and i feel like it doesn't quite need the evangelism or advocacy that it once did. When i got involved in silken valley two thousand four, open source was like a communist plot. It was socialism. It was giving away everything dand not part of the capitalists engine. But now we can actually build much more complex and interesting systems and platforms that enable lots more generative outcomes than a system that is closed. And so then therefore, there becomes a kind of defact or derived standard for that content. That's almost like creation of a new sport.
