Empiric Antibiotics for Diabetic Foot Infections

This chapter explores different treatment options for mild, severe, and moderate diabetic foot infections, including the appropriate antibiotic coverage and the duration of therapy based on the extent of the infection and surgical intervention. It also discusses the use of Refampen as an adjunctive agent and highlights the challenges in deciding whether to cover Pseudomonas in the empiric regimen.
