CNN made some indication that they planned to shift in a more moderate direction. CNN cut a bunch of jobs too. Matt Welch can be the judges of whether or not they've actually managed to shift at all since I know he's been doing his midday channel surfing in cable news. But it would be interesting to see if any of the rest of these publications try toshift in a moremoderate direction as they're reassessing things, reorganizing, pushing certain people out of their newsroom.
