The Grongino Theatre

From 19 59 to 19 61, a man named fred scaw ran the theatre. Some of the plays at this point veered back towards more realistic horror. But it was really too late to regain the glory days of maris and choisis times. After 65 years of frights and chills, the grongino closed its doors for good in november 19 62. The chapel turned theatre reopened briefly as a new theatrical enterprise but that also quickly failed. In march 19 63, the entrance and portico of the space were demolished. To day, theatre companies around the world still stage modern productions of some of the surviving plays for the grand ganole.
