The Importance of Being Observed

The film paints a portrait of mental hospitals at a certain time. It also has in the background, an array of people experiencing different quite severe forms of madness. There's an old man who is kind of dancing by himself to a music only he can hear. Each one of these behaviors are behaviors that point to different aspects of fairly severe mental illnesses. But the film doesn't explore the very much and it does not allow you inside the head of any of those characters or understand why they do what they do.
