Going Back to the Land

The homesteading movement is once again gaining ground in the United States. Americans have been going back to the land since the 19th century, but those early movements were typically a response to economic crises. George and Anne wanted to farm; they found 27 acres on sale from an improbably named widow. They worked 18 hours a day, seven days a week at the farm for 10 months.
