What's Going Wrong With AI Tools?

Hundreds of AI tools have been built to catch covid none of them helped. The piece that I and that I think made the rounds the most on twitter was sort of this idea of what went wrong with these tools. There were a whole bunch of models that were Evaluated that used kind of techniques where the researcher or the person who was like fitting the model, you know wasn't actually hand selecting the variables to go into the model. They were it was something like a neural net or something where it's like future engineering is happening behind the scenes.
