Is It Too Late Game to Throw in One More Tangent?
i think our notion of languages in programming is just so far away from the reality of how natural language worked. We've made this analogy to language and like forgotten that it's an analogy, and we don't pull in so many of the rich things that natural language have. So great it's realizing that were we have a very impoverished notion of language. And if we started including more and more ideas from linguistics and philosophy of language into our programming languages, we would find systems out of them. That's what i think we can do to bridge this gap. There was one other thing, and i think it dovetails off what you've just said that i wanted to tangent on
