What Is the Mother's Desire?
The infant experiences this thought that there's something that my mother desires. So it's present, but it's also absent because you don't quite know what your parents are. This is called the dasting. And then dasting is connected to another concept for the can, which is called object day. An object day or object putia, they always didn't translate it, is where in our adult life, there is the reliving of that primal encounter with what does my mother or what does the other desire of me? That is quite Lacanian. But for that, that's from a Lacanian perspective is where curiosity, why curiosity is universal?
