The Importance of Performance Status in Cancer Treatment
My mom actually passed from pancreatic cancer which she developed, or which she was diagnosed with over a labor day of 2018. Part of the reason why my mom's cancer was untreatable is that it was caught late. It was caught at a point at which the doctors had seen evidence that it had already metastasized. The other issue is that a person's success when going through something like chemotherapy, which as you alluded to is very hard to go through, depends on what is referred to as a patient's performance status. And so just not with it, that the doctors didn't think that putting her through that would have been a smart move,.
