The Importance of Cross Functional Alignment

I like the idea of branching out, especially if you keep the focus on sales and stuff like that. Maybe there's a marketing path or a CS path or maybe you want to be the CEO of the company and your way into that is through the sales team. Is that realistic? I think even more important than defining a rigid, structured like, first you can be here, then you can be in this position are being adaptable and flexible with how you structure your organization. You know, again, going back to what motivates people: autonomy.
