The Cuban Anti-Fascists and the Italian Invasion of Ethiopia
The Italian invasion of Ethiopia, as your listeners probably know, was in 1935. So it predates the Spanish Civil War and only certain Cubans concern themselves with Ethiopia. The African diaspora in the Americas at large is very concerned with the defense of Ethiopia. And so they make this connection of anti-colonialism in the two countries.
