The S&P 500's Earnings Estimates

Right now the S&P 500 is around 17 and a half times forward earnings. The risk is that those estimates continue to come down, which would just make this market even more expensive. It gets back to this kind of lose, lose proposition when all you look at is earnings estimates and valuations.
