The Difference Between Envy and Jealousy

The Bible never says that God is envious. It does say he's jealous, but it never says he has envy. In fact, we use the word jealous when we actually mean envious all the time. We've conflated not only the terms, but we almost have erased the word envy from our vocabulary instead using the word jealousy which has a totally different connotation.
