Henry and Somerset - The Last Straw for King Henry
Richard of York came and presented himself as the leader of this sort of reform. He was perfectly aware that he had a tie to the phone, though it's not something one would dare to say in the 1450s. They wanted law and order and they also wanted the king to support himself without taxation. Events seem to take a turn for the better when Queen Margaret falls pregnant. King Henry may finally have a son and heir which would bring much needed stability. But then devastating news arrives from France. British forces have been driven out and the French king is victorious. It is the final straw for King Henry.
