The court heard the case of a man who was banned from kneeling during the national anthem at his son's football game. The school district argued that he should be allowed to kneel for other reasons, such as climate change and racial justice. Judge Elena Kagan said she thought Paul clement had an ideological stake in the case which didn't serve the school particularly well. She added: 'If anything, i thought paul gave maybe the best oral argument of his career'
