What Is Fiat Good For?
The gold standard was working fine. The one thing that it is good for is its ability to move value across space. So with fiat, you can send money with a telegram. With gold, you have to send money over ships and trains. That's the operational feature that the at has. When money is debt, moving debt around is simply communicating information.
