The Importance of Control in Negotiation
Negotiation is a game. How do you play the game best to get the objective that you want? Correct? I like to think of it as sort of like spring loaded chess because a lot of people want to think of negotiations as chess, which is move counter move and very complicated. And then of course, every move that I make since, you know, Herb Cohen said a long time ago that negotiation is influenced within a web of tension. The web of tension is emotions and what we want,. Which means that all the pieces are spring loaded with this tension of emotion.
