The Effect of CRISPR on Cancer Risk

Early versions of CRISPR have what are called off target mutations. So if one cell is miscorrected and the mutation is placed elsewhere, that aberrant mutation will now trigger cancer. And so the risk of cancer becomes higher, right? We haven't quantified that because that kind of study is still hard to do.
