The Paracelci and Homunculus
A homunculus is a magical little man created through alchemy in order to give the creator God-like powers. The term homunculus didn't come into the alchemical sense of the word up until the 16th century, which some scholars consider as pseudo-paracelci and texts. You had the likes of Alistair Curly writing about the homunculus in the early 1900s. It's just very specific that you would talk about vivisecting or dissecting a small little humanoid with the womb of a cow.
