How Much Does the Ceo Really Matter to the Firm?
David rubenstein is co founder and, until recently, co ceo of the carlyle group. Since its founding in 19 87, carlyle has purchased or invested in nearly 600 companies. To day, it has two and 71 companies under its control. Researchers have found that the leader of a company matters a great deal. But no one can really give us a straight answer on what to find a good leader.
