Animation for Comedy
Animation allows for the creative and sereal imagination of a comedy to stretch itself in ways that would either be prohibitively expensive or simply impossible. The other thing, which i think is actually a complicated thing, is that animation allows for a certain kind of ventriloquism that is not necessarily as easy top sh when you're not playing an animated role. Increasingly, we are seeing a move, in some cases, i think, a welcome move, towards a kind of coherence or realism in animation. O that would be so hard to set up and really feel odd in any kind of other media.
