i grew up in india, and one part of the conception of science i grew up with was that it was something done in the west. But doesn't sound like the no bells hav helped here? No, they definitely don't help. And i think they even make it worse, because they kind of amplify the vision of science,. That also affects how people view science and view who can be a scientist.
