Is Gravity a Force?

The universe has been around for a pretty long time and hopefully it'll be around for quite a while longer maybe. But because it is a physical universe it is at the mercy of forces. We think that forces in this universe control the shape of everything we experience. From the reason you don't fall through your chair to the reason you are held onto the earth by gravity. The very structure of the galaxy and the large scale structure of the universe are determined by forces.
