Many dominant currents o the right, not just those closest to trumpset, seem intent on leveraging the already counter majoritarian features of the american political system. What sort of danger does the republican party's turn against this country's already pretty flawed representative institutions pose? And then why does it feel like anti authoritarianism, or anti fashism, is so caught in this feckless liberal call de sac,. with democrats hoping that just explaining loudly and frequently enough just how deplorable and dangerous republicans are will somehow finally forestall the coming catastrophe?"
