The 1992 Election: A Hindsight
In a hindsight, do you feel like the 1992 election should have been more obvious? You look at politicians like Neil Kinwick, and you think, does he pass that waving on the steps of Downing Street test? I think the answer was always no. People just couldn't imagine in there, and the son famously said, if he wins, will the last person out of Britain turn out the lights. They had three polls that put his head that day. The cruelest people for anyone ever played on me. Maybe should have been 20 points ahead of that point with the recession and the division in the Tory party. A different leader might have had us further ahead or a different set of policies
