The Little Rabbit and the Fairy

A little rabbit thought of the skin horse, so wise and gentle. And a tear trickled down his shabby velvet nose to the ground. A flower grew out of the ground; it had slender green leaves with emerald-colored blossom in center. Out of this blossom stepped a fairy who was quite the loveliest fairy in the whole world. She gathered him up in her arms and kissed him when his valetine nose was all damp and crying. "Don't you know who I am? The nursery magic fairy," she said.
