Some things that are moving away from us faster than the speed of light, their photons will never reach us. It's sort of like if someone is zooming away from you on a spaceship and they shoot a nerf gun at you,. That Nerf bullet is never going to get to you because somebody shot at you faster than than the rocket is moving away from you. Right? We're just linearly adding the velocities.
