The Bombing of Nagasaki

Fat Man was dropped at an altitude of 29,000 feet and detonated 1,650 feet above Nagasaki. It killed 40,000 people and injured another 60,000 on that initial explosion. The eventual death toll was calculated at around 140,000 because Nagasaki did not have the same population density as Hiroshima.
