How to Execute Scares in a Horror Film

For me, a good horror film is the one that works here. It has to always be anchored and rooted in character. If I care for the characters, because I get so invisible films, like I'll forget I'm watching a film. So if you don't want something bad to happen to that character, then it feels like you want something special. There's not a lot of that in Freddy vs. Jason to be fair.
