The Effect of Inflation on Consumer Choices

Timothy Stanley says Colson Woolies margins could be under a bit of pressure. He thinks inflation is making it harder for people to make choices about what they buy in the show supermarket. The media has been focused on commercial property valuations and then finally coming off in June, we've obviously seen a major super fun closing down. But should we have already seen lots of reports of actual lower sales? Is that the case or have I been misled?
