The Church Was Your Biggest Influence When You Were Young
I think that's a big part of why you start to develop a love for performing because you get all this affirmation. And when you did it at church, it felt like you were doing it for people whose judgment you trusted and you wanted to impress them. So whenever I would get affirmation in that setting, it felt special. Like it's so important to our services that when you do it right and you feel like you did it right and the audience affirms that it feels like you won. You won a battle there.
