The Wounds Are Not for Him, but for Us
The wounds are, start in to me, their great point of meditation, for sure. So the lord adopts everything proper to our human condition, that's that's conducive to salvation. But then he goes kind of beyond that, as it were, and adopts even the defects associated with our human condition. And so there's a sense here of christ' really, really taking up our human lot to the point of suffering and dying.
