Does Philosophy Have a Position?
The phenomenology is important because you do learn about your own mind by observing what you're doing. But that doesn't provide explanations for explanations when you need to go deeper. We can do much better if we go into scientific approach and look at the biological mechanisms. I think there are two important things that philosophy does that show that it's different from and makes an important contribution to science. They are generalize general, generality and normativity. It asks questions like, well, what is a disease? What is health? What is an explanation? And I think these are wonderful questions.
