CHAPTER

Is Mutual Assured Destroyment a Real Thing?

In the early 1960s, a fellow named Alan Entovin comes up with this idea of a thought experiment. This is just a way of thinking like, how many nuclear weapons do we really need? Is there some theoretical limit after which more is worthless? And so he imagines that we have a force of one megaton bombs. But it's a thought experiment and no such thing as mutual assured destruction. The Kennedy administration was like, wow, can I swear on this podcast? That's for grownups. We're talking about nuclear war here.
