CNN's John Defterios has been following the mysterious disappearance of thousands of New York City workers. He is now piecing together what happened, and how it was handled by a company called cachet financial services. The money from my payroll's customers would end up in a cashe holding account,. Then cache would distribute the money according to the file sent to them by my payroll. But instead of giving these instructions to their employees, they were instructed to put the money into a pioneer bank savings account controlled by My Payroll. This led to people being left unpaid for weeks or even months at a time. It also created an enormous amount of cash that could not be spent on anything but necessities
