When the VIX Is High, You're Selling High Buying Low, Right?

When the VIX is high or when there's a lot of option premium wouldn't we want to take advantage of those times? In a manner of speaking yes. But I kind of alluded to the fact that when Vix is high, it's when the, it's high for a reason. And on the other hand, you still have to have a plan,. even if there is some more edge when volatility is high, you always have to know how much risk you're actually taking and be able to manage it accordingly.
