Star Wars: A Universe Without Communications Technology

I was surprised by how low tech it was. One of the things I like about Star Wars is it's like a universe without communications technology. It seems like it's a world where we have faster than light travel somehow and fax machines. But yeah, but no news organizations, like there's no TVs or anything. You know, they don't have Star Trek communicators. They're just difficult to do. And I'll just go along with that. The movie starts breaking it down a little bit because I'm aware of like, like don't think about it too hard what's happening in this scene.
